It is used in frozen food bags, bottles, cereal liners, yogurt containers, and more. Looking around, all plastics with recycling codes 2 and 4 are made from PE. These plastics have different crystal formations
How is PE made?
Polyethylene is produced by the polymerization of ethylene (or vinyl) monomers.PE chains are produced by addition or free radical polymerization. Possible methods of synthesis are:
